The Winners of the 90th Annual Academy Awards, is being Held at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood

The 90th annual Academy Awards, is being held at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood hosted by Jimmy Kimmel for the second time.


The following awards have already been announced.

Best supporting actor: Allison Janney

Best Documentary: "Icarus"

Best Production Design: "The Shape of Water

Best Foreign Language Film: "A Fantastic Woman"

Best Animated Short Film: "Dear Basketball"

Best Animated Film: "Coco"


The best animated feature Academy Award went to "Coco".

Coco is the story of a Mexican boy who wishes to become a musician against his family's wishes. Disney and Pixar have collaborated for this movie.

"Coco" has depicted the culture of Mexico's "Day of the Dead" culture in an authentic and realistic manner for which it has received praise from all quarters.

Its signature song, "Remember Me," has also been nominated in the best original song category.


Lakers superstar Kobe Bryant has another metal to decorate his beautiful room of awards with. His movie "Dear Basketball,was named the best animated short film.


Allison Janney has clinched  the best supporting actress Oscar for her role as LaVona Harding in "I, Tonya." The film is about  the figure skater, Tonya Harding’s life and Janney has portrayed the venomous character very well. This is her  first Oscar win. She has previously won seven Emmys for her roles in  "The West Wing" and the "Mom."

The actress started her acceptance speech by joking, "I did it all by myself." She quickly changed course, saying, "Nothing could be further from the truth."

The winner of the best foreign language film Academy Award went to Chile's "A Fantastic Woman". The film is directed by Sebastian Lelio and transgender actress Daniela Vega stars in the movie portraying a woman who faces hostility and animosity after the death of her lover.

Jimmy used one of the important moments of the Oscar-nominated film "Get Out,"to bring in a bit of comedy into his presentation.  Jimmy Kimmel has informed this year's winners that if they go on and on with their acceptance speeches they wouldn't be played offstage by music.

Actor Lakeith Stanfield was called on stage by Jimmy Kimmel to scream, "Get out," just as he had done in the movie.

However, Stanfield didn’t get off the stage until a crew person ushered him off stage.

The best documentary feature Academy Award has to "Icarus" .

The film is about Russian athletes who were under a doping program.
