This Diwali India Sets a New Record by Lighting 300,000 Oil Lamps
India has lit up her face in the world map this Diwali with more than 300,000 oil lamps. Flying drone proclaims the record!
It was surely a Happy Diwali for all the Indians out there, as the nation shines with a whole new world record. The city of Ayodhya in northern India dazzled yesterday with 300,150 oil lamps. According to officials, this marks a new Guinness world record. Thus, the celebration has just begun!
Hundreds of thousands of diyas cast a smouldering glow on the river Sarayu, as a number of devotees, volunteers, visitors lit up the flames in beautiful clay pots. This commemoration will be saved in the Guinness Book history, for the innumerable diyas kept flaring for 5 minutes simultaneously, turning the evening sky radiant!
Such a spectacular sight it was!
Diwali or the festival of lights is celebrated across the state of India, majorly in the North Indian provinces. Firecrackers, traditional oil lamps, electric lighting stuff are enormously used to denote the triumph of good over evil.

A flying drone over the city asserted the victory with the exact number of flickering diyas.
Riverbanks, steps, and every nook and corner of Ayodhya have their own contribution towards making the pious day glorious for India. Thanks to all the efforts put forth by the state’s tourism office.
