Thomas Markle is Back in News with a Bang
Apparently, Thomas was paid $13,000 for his interview with ITV's Good Morning Britain.
Thomas Markle is back in news with a bang. He has come forward and spoken his thoughts in a tell-all interview since the wedding of Meghan and Prince Harry. In a run-up to the wedding, there was a lot of drama, courtesy Thomas Markle! He had staged some pictures with the paparazzi and this had caused his daughter a lot of pain. Due to the embarrassment, Thomas backed out of the wedding. He opted out stating he had heart problems and had to undergo surgery. However, how far that’s the truth nobody knows. Now he is back once again with his side of the story.
Apparently, Thomas was paid $13,000 for his interview with ITV's Good Morning Britain. He spilled his heart out in the interview. It is rumored that Kensington palace officials were not informed about the interview as they would never have allowed it. Even Prince Harry and Meghan were unaware of it as Thomas did not mention it to them. He hoped after the interview would be aired, they would not get upset and he hoped they would “understand my feelings as well.”
Speaking to the hosts Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid in Good Morning Britain, Thomas Markle spoke about his conversation with Prince Harry. He recalled requesting the Prince to never raise his hands against his daughter, Meghan. This conversation took place over the phone when Prince Harry called him to ask for his daughter’s hand. He said, “Harry asked for her hand on the phone and I said: 'You are a gentleman, promise me you will never raise your hand against my daughter and of course I will grant you my permission'.”
He said Meghan did not disclose she was dating Prince Harry initially. She kept dropping hints that she had a new boyfriend. It was later that she told him it was Prince Harry. Thomas said, “At that point, she said it’s Harry and I said, “Harry…OK”.”
Kensington has not released any statement yet and it would be interesting to know what is happening inside those walls.
