Two Brothers Jump from Burning Building to the Hands of Rescuers

Locals in the city of Grenoble in France witnessed a dramatic footage where two young brothers had to jump from a high building to escape their burning apartment.

The parents had locked their apartment with the kids aged 3 and 10 inside while the kids were left without the keys. Unfortunately, the apartment caught fire, and to escape the toxic fumes, the kids had no other choice but to jump 40 feet to save themselves.

The footage was captured by a neighbour living near the apartment complex. There were a large number of rescuers standing below the building waiting to rescue the boys. The children were extremely scared and were seen crying.

The elder brother first lowered his 3-year-old brother before jumping down himself.

The two brothers escaped unscathed; however, reports suggest that they might have suffered due to the toxic smoke. They have been hospitalized and are safe.

Some of the rescuers in the event of rescuing injured themselves.  Some suffered fractured bones while one 25-year-old student Athoumani Walid suffered a broken arm.

The cause of the fire is being investigated. Grenoble's mayor, Eric Piolle personally thanked all the people for their immense efforts in rescuing the children.

Kudos to the young brothers who used their presence of mind and exhibited courage in the face of danger.
