Typhoon Yagi Creates A Ruckus in Vietnam, Injury Toll Rises

Typhoon Yagi is the most powerful typhoon that Asia has ever experienced and it has not only caused havoc but killed close to 35 people. Around 17 people are injured and they have been rushed to the hospitals. Various footages are seen where high wind speeds and constant landslides are affecting the habitation and the source of daily needed resources such as fresh water. The weather agency of Vietnam was further alarmed by more wind speeds and landslides.

The disaster management team claimed that the lives lost were only because of the landslides and the wind speeds. The primary impact was made on the north coast of Vietnam where companies and businesses operate. On Sunday, the storm reduced into a depression causing immense rainfall. This is something that Asia has not seen in a while as this is the first time such incidents happened.

The typhoon stopped some of the economic activities within the country. Also, it disrupted some of the major roads, transportation, and highways for which people were stranded in inaccessible locations leading to further discomfort. In a video, it was also seen that a bridge collapsed because of indecent rainfall.

Many industries also struggled because of no electricity and their roof were blown away at high wind speeds. The walls of LG electronics in the city were also affected as seen in a video. The manufacturer also claimed that the warehouse was massively damaged which was the house to refrigerators and washing machines.

The destruction caused by the Typhoon is not something that the country was prepared for. However, contingency plans have been made so that safety can be provided to the people who do not have proper houses and live in dwellings.
