UberEats is definitely planning something pathbreaking to bring in a revolution in the food delivery process. In an article published by the Wall Street Journal, it has been reported that Uber Technologies Inc. is envisioning a fleet of drones reaching food at every doorstep.

The news surfaced when the company, headquartered in San Francisco, California rolled out a job post on their website, looking for an operations manager to handle their food delivery drone program for UberExpress. However, Uber later removed this post from their site.

So, does that suggest they have already hired the right person? Well, let us only speculate!

Founded in 2009, Uber evolved as a ridesharing service which is now exploring new avenues in the field of food delivery. UberEats allows one to enjoy delicious meals from the local restaurants around a customer’s location.

The idea of food delivery drones evolved from discovering a more convenient way of delivery in urban areas to save time. CEO Dara Khosrowshahi hinted this breakthrough venture at the Uber Elevate Summit back in May, saying that the urban mobility issues could be solved by flying burgers, adding, their organization was working on a commercial drone testing program.
