Vande Bharat Introduces Sleeper Coaches, to Operate in 3 Months

Ashwini Vaishnav unveiled the new Vande Bharat sleeper coach that is set to start operating in another 3 months. The event took place in the BEML Bengaluru facility. The coaches will be deployed by December, and after the prototype testing, the coaches' production will be boosted.

The new Vande Bharat coaches are designed ergonomically which can travel 800 to 1200 km and overnight journey. The 16-coach train will have features such as advanced virus protection and enhanced oxygen flow. This will enhance the traveler's experience. A recent photo was shared which showed the loco cabin of Vande Bharat. Ashwini Vaishnav claimed that the design and function are a bit complex, however, it is supposed to provide the passengers with luxury and comfort.

The coaches will be undergoing stringent testing and will be tested in different terrains to assess the feasibility and accessibility of the coaches. Track testing will be organized right before 10 days before the launch. Indian Railways is working on the development of Vande Bharat Chair car, sleeper coaches, and metro coaches which will enhance the overall traveling experience.

Ashwini Vaishnav also spoke to the railway's staff and took their opinions on what they feel about the coaches and how they can be improved. Vande Bharat will be a pivotal change in the Indian Railways travel.
