Late veteran actor Kader Khan’s eldest son Abdul Quddus breathed his last in Canada on Wednesday. He was suffering from kidney ailments.
This news comes two years after the death of his father who also passed away in Canada in December 2018.
According to Abdul’s brother Sarfaraz, he had been suffering from kidney problem for sometime and was undergoing dialysis. He was in his mid fifties.
“My brother was on dialysis. He had kidney problems since sometime. He was in the hospital for the last five months, trying to fight it out. But yesterday in the morning he left all of us” he told news agency PTI.
According to Kader Khan’s daughter-in-law, Abdul slipped into a coma a couple of days back and then stopped responding.
Abdul is the eldest son of Kader Khan from his first wife.
Kader Khan passed away in Canada from a degenerative disease after being ill for a long period.
The actor worked in over 300 films and wrote dialogues for over 250 films. He covered a variety of genres such as comedy, action, romance, family and social.
He tried his first stint with comedy with films like Himmatwala and Aaj Ka Daur and then went on to act in several comedy films thereafter.
It was actor Rajesh Khanna who gave him a break as a screen writer in his film ‘Roti’. He later wrote dialogues for several films which featured Rajesh Khanna.
Even some of the dialogues and scripts in Amitabh’s films were written by Kader Khan.
His natural flair for acting, dialogue delivery and perfect comic timing made the actor one of most well known comedians of all time in the Indian Film Industry.
On 26 January 2019 the government conferred upon him the Padma Shri award posthumously.
