Vicky Kaushal is all set to run the chills through your spine, with his horror feature ‘Bhoot – Part One: The Haunted Ship’. The first official ‘Bhoot’ poster that is already trending all over the internet, is because the film would be an exceptional attempt by three of its leading men. ‘Bhoot’ director Bhanupratap Singh is making his directorial debut with this, it’s the second horror film from Karan Johar’s banner Dharma Productions after ‘Kaal’ (2005) and also, for the very first time the sensational actor Vicky Kaushal will be seen in a horror flick.

Reportedly, the film ‘Bhoot’ is based on real events, it is about a haunted ship in Bombay/Mumbai. Additional news reveals, ‘Dum Laga Ke Haisha’ actress Bhumi Pednekar will also be a part of the ‘Bhoot’ cast, but as a cameo. No further revelations have been made regarding the ‘Bhoot’ plot.

‘Bhoot – Part One: The Haunted Ship’, as the name suggests is starting a horror franchise, which would be a one of a kind venture from Dharma Productions and in Bollywood. As, the Indian audience is usually accustomed to sequels but, an announcement of a horror film franchise is definitely a new trend in the industry.

According to popular social media remarks, the poster has been able to spark up the feeling of fear and uneasiness. A slender, ghostly palm clenching Vicky’s mouth is evidently unnerving.

According to sources, the idea of the film came from the helmed director Bhanupratap Singh, who is a horror enthusiast himself. And after director-producer KJo “loved” it the idea was executed to become a reality.

‘Bhoot’ however, shares the same name with the 2003 horror thriller starring Ajay Devgan and  Urmila Matondkar, directed by Ram Gopal Varma. Shashank Khaitan has thanked the acclaimed saying, “It was extremely gracious of RGV to give the title to us,”.

Co-produced by Apoorva Mehta and Shashank Khaitan, ‘Bhoot – Part One: The Haunted Ship’ will be releasing 15th November. And we hope, the film doesn’t turn out to be another Bolly horror mess. Fingers’ crossed!
