Video of a Woman Entering a Zoo in New York and Gesturing at a Lion Goes Viral

A video of a woman by the name of Myáh Autry, 32, entering a Lion enclosure in New York has gone viral on social media. She was celebrating her birthday in the zoo and in the process desired to have some fun with the animals in the enclosure.

The video was recorded by a person by the name of Real Sobrino and according to him; the girl was already in the enclosure when he began recording the video.  There are other clippings on the net that shows the woman entering the enclosure. One video uploaded in an Instagram account that seems to belong to the trespasser herself was captioned with these lines, “I REALLY HAVE NO FEAR OF NOTHING BREATHING.”

In the video, the woman can be seen making signs and waving at the Lion. She even danced in front of it while the Lion kept staring at her. The animal appeared quite inquisitive seeing the woman gesturing at it. Fortunately, the woman escaped without an inch of injury.

If one can see the video clearly there was a moat in between the lion and the woman however we are not sure how deep it was and whether it was deep enough to protect the woman. Probably this was the reason the lion kept looking at the woman inquisitively and didn’t pounce on her.

In the video one can hear bystanders warning the woman not to enter the enclosure but to no avail.

The Bronx Zoo authorities were shocked to learn about the incident. It received a report on Saturday stating that a trespasser crossed the barrier to view the African lion exhibits. The zoo said in a statement that, “This action was a serious violation and unlawful trespass that could have resulted in serious injury or death.”

Police are on the lookout for the girl to charge her for her actions. No arrests have been made as of now.
