Viewers Are Loving Big Girls Don’t Cry Trailer, #BGDC Explores The Interesting Life in A Girls Boarding School

Big Girls Don’t Cry, a coming of age school drama, is creating  waves on the web, for all the right reasons. The team behind this web series unveiled the engaging trailer on Wednesday. 

Even Pooja Bhatt, who plays a key role in the film, treated fans with the official trailer. She captioned it, “If there is one thing stronger than magic, it is SISTERHOOD!”

The trailer introduces us to the reputed Vandana Valley Girls School! Through this series, audiences will  get to explore the challenges of leading a life in a boarding school. We get to meet a bunch of young girls hailing from different backgrounds, with different mindsets, who are trying to make a comfortable place for themselves in the school. They all have different personalities! Some of them are rebels, some are bullies while the others know how to fight for their rights. 

Seven of them are in their final year who’ve made a strong resolve to rule the campus. 

Their delicate minds are still figuring out their identities. The blooming girls are exploring sisterhood, friendship, conflicts, emotions,heartbreaks, school life, growth and dreams. As the trailer suggests, it has been a roller coaster ride for these young women. 

We get to meet Pooja Bhatt who is the principal of Vandana Valley Girls School. She highlights that the prestigious school has changed society, our country and the world. 

The trailer is receiving an amazing response from netizens and movie buffs can’t wait to watch this one. The cast is predominantly women and is directed by Nitya Mehra, Sudhanshu Saria, Karan Kapadia, and Kopal Naithani.

Speaking about what drew her to this story, Pooja said, “I said yes to Big Girls Don't Cry because I was drawn to the story, the setting, and the characters in it. As a rebellious teenager who never shied away from speaking my mind and questioning authority, it was such a kick to play Anita Verma.”

“What I loved was that within the series, the characters develop a healthy sense of self and strive to overcome gender bias and stereotypes. For me, this was key, as that ensures they become healthy role models for others out there”, she further added.

Creator and director Nitya Mehra said, “Big Girls Don't Cry is my homage to the best years of my life. It's an homage to my best friends, to sisterhood, and to the young girls that inspire me every day.”
