Vivek Oberoi Shares Emotional Reunion with Family in Dubai amid Middle East Tensions
Bollywood actor Vivek Oberoi reunited emotionally with his children in Dubai, emphasizing that life there remains calm despite Middle East tensions.
Bollywood actor and entrepreneur Vivek Oberoi has spoken candidly about the emotional moment he reunited with his children in Dubai, where he lives and runs business ventures, amidst ongoing geopolitical uncertainty linked to the Iran–Israel conflict.
Oberoi, who was in Mumbai shooting for the upcoming film Spirit, described the moment he saw his children again as deeply grounding. “The moment I landed and saw my kids, the weight of the world just fell away,” he said, recalling the relief that followed days of separation and concern over regional unrest.
The actor emphasized that life in Dubai — where markets and workplaces continue to function — remains stable and vibrant, despite international perceptions. He noted that viral content and external commentary often overstate the impact of tensions in the region, and that the reality on the ground reflects calm normalcy.
In remarks to media, Oberoi drew on a metaphor to describe life in the city: “The storm does not disturb the fish in the deep sea,” underscoring that daily activities, commerce, and community life in Dubai have maintained momentum.
Earlier this month, Oberoi also thanked the UAE leadership and Emirates airline for their role in helping residents return safely during the period of heightened concern. In a heartfelt social media video, he spoke of seeing fellow passengers on his flight with “silent stories” in their eyes as they made their journey back to family.
The actor, who is married to Priyanka Alva and has a son and a daughter, has balanced his professional commitments in India with his family life in the UAE. His comments reflect both personal relief at reuniting with loved ones and a broader message of confidence in the safety and resilience of life in Dubai during turbulent times.
