Actresses Kajol and Shilpa Shetty celebrated thirty-two years of the Hindi iconic movie ‘Baazigar’ on social media.
Baazigar released on 12 November 1993, became the fourth highest grossing film of the year.
The crime thriller featured Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol, Shilpa Shetty, Dalip Tahil and Rakhee in pivotal roles.
The 90s block-bluster will always be remembered for its daring plot and unforgettable performances.
Kajol celebrated the milestone by sharing a series of throwback photographs from the movie.
“32 years of #Baazigar, a story, a chapter, a journey I’ll always cherish,” she wrote in the caption.
Shilpa Shetty too shared a montage video featuring clips from the film on her Instagram story.
“#32YearsofBaazigar & what a ride it’s been!”, she captioned the video.
She added, “Back in those times, we did not have any VFX. So, I had to act authentically to show what I was feeling, and the building was moving. But the makers thought that the scene could be shot better.”
Baazigar is now considered a cult classic in Indian cinema. It showcased the directorial flair of Abbas–Mustan and established Shah Rukh Khan as the “King of Risk,” known for taking unconventional roles.
How can we forget the iconic line “Haar ke jeetne wale ko Baazigar kehte hain!” ? (“The one who wins even after losing is called a Baazigar!”) which became one of Bollywood’s most iconic dialogues.
