A rare case of Human coronavirus has been detected in Kolkata and the women is currently undergoing treatment. Doctors claim that her condition is stable but many people might not be aware of the virus. The common challenges faced by people suffering from the virus are breathing and respiratory challenges which can often cause death. Certain medical protocols shared by doctors can help in the prevention.

The HkU1 was discovered in the year 2005 and belongs to the same family of SARS, MERS, and COVID-19. The primary impact area is the lungs which affects the respirations and often accounts for major bodily malfunctions. However, HKu1 is not as critical as the COVID-19 and has minimal on people with no medical ailments.

Doctors have laid out a list of symptoms that may appear if the virus is contained. Some of the common symptoms include a runny nose, mild fever, and sore throat. In case someone has a poor immune system the virus can impact the lungs and can cause pneumonia-like conditions. Doctors prescribe that it is not very harmful to the lungs however certain patients stay at risk because of the virus

People who are already suffering from lung and respiratory issues will have severe consequences resulting from the virus. People with the mentioned co-morbidities should maintain proper sanitization methods or else a hospitalization might be needed.

The spread of the virus is similar to that of SARS and MERS as the infestation occurs when someone coughs or sneezes. The spread of the virus can also be through contaminated surfaces such as common areas of public transport or even offices. Thus, the advisory from doctors also prescribes that a proper sanitization of the surface must be done

The symptoms are similar to cold and flu which many people do not realize until it's late. In the case of the patient from Kolkata, she was isolated immediately and she was also told immediate medical attention was given to her which ensured safety for her health. While most people are aware of the consequences of such viruses, doctors and health advisors have urged people to use proper sanitization methods and usage of masks that can protect others and maintain safety.
