Medical impairments can be defeated if one’s passion is strong enough. The Icelandic boy, Brynjar Karl Birgisson made the most of his creative abilities via gifting the world its largest lego Titanic replica. It took him 700 hours and 11 months to create it with 56,000 lego bricks. The replica ship is 26 feet long and 5 feet tall.

Brynjar has been a Lego fan since a very young age. “I sometimes built from instructions, and sometimes, I used my own imagination.”, he says.

Recalling his trip with his mother to Legoland he shares, “When I traveled with my mom to Legoland in Denmark and saw for the first time all the amazing big models of famous houses and planes, locations and ships, I probably then started to think about making my own Lego model. By the time I was 10, I started to think about building the Lego titanic model in a Lego man size.”

But initially, the young artist was drawn to trains until, his grandfather took him for fishing on a boat. The Icelandic teen diagnosed with autistic spectrum revealed that building the replica of Titanic helped him embrace autism.

Brynjar’s family and friends supported his work of art by donating money so that he can afford all those Lego bricks, in such a huge amount.

The boy’s mother has always encouraged his passions but could not refrain from admitting that she was “totally blind” about how his child’s future would look like who’s suffering from an incurable disease like autism. Undoubtedly, now she feels to be the proudest mum of all.

“When your child comes to you with an interesting, big, crazy dream, he or she would like to reach and they need your help you listen carefully and make an attempt to find ways to support the child to reach that goal. It might be the best investment you ever make for your kid,” she says.

It goes without saying that Brynjar is so much excited to unveil his lego replica of Titanic, at the Tennessee Titanic Museum. It’s like a big dream come true to him, “I can’t wait to visit the Titanic Museum and meet all the people,” says the teenage talent.

RMS Titanic that sank in 1912 in the North Atlantic Ocean after colliding with an iceberg, made a comeback on the silver screen in 1997 starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet under the brilliant direction of James Cameron. Now, the ‘Ship of Dreams’ Titanic has returned declaring the triumph of artistry and dedication over difficulties and disabilities.
