YouTuber Jasbir Singh Arrested over Pakistan-Backed Espionage Links

YouTuber Jasbir Singh, Known for his channel Jaan Mahal video, has been arrested by the Punjab Police for allegedly being part of a Pakistan-backed espionage ring. The arrest was made by the State Special Operations Cell (SSOC) in Mohali after critical intelligence inputs pointed toward his involvement in anti-national activities.

According to Punjab Police, Jasbir Singh had direct contact with a Pakistani intelligence operative named Shakir, also known by the alias Jutt Randhawa. Authorities believe Shakir is closely linked to Pakistan’s Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) and has been managing a covert spy network. It is alleged that Singh transmitted sensitive and classified information regarding the movements of Indian security forces, an act described by officials as highly subversive.

His most recent Instagram video, posted just two days before his arrest, shows his son celebrating Punjab Kings’ win over Mumbai Indians during the IPL semi-final. The Allegations

Gaurav Yadav, Punjab’s Director General of Police, revealed that Singh had connections with Jyoti Malhotra, a YouTuber from Haryana who was arrested on May 15 under similar espionage charges. Investigations suggest that both had parallel ties to the same foreign intelligence network. Singh reportedly traveled to Pakistan on three occasions, his visits lining suspiciously with Malhotra’s trips.

Forensic analysis is underway on several electronic devices recovered from Singh’s home, which allegedly contain Pakistani contacts. Among the most startling revelations is Singh’s attendance at Pakistan National Day celebrations at the Pakistani Embassy in New Delhi. There, he was reportedly invited by Eshan-ur-Rahim, alias Danish, a Pakistani High Commission official who was later expelled from India.
