15 Easy Ways to Share Your Company's Branded Content

1. Ask For Shares

A call to action is arguably the most important part of any message, and this is true for sharing content as well. Your viewers all have the ability to spread your message as far as it can go, so ask them to! If you include a simple request within your content, saying “if you liked it, please share it!” you might find more people do.

2. Try Buffer

Buffer is an online resource you can take advantage of that schedules content delivery to Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn. Your content will be shared to wherever you want it to, whenever you want it to through one simple app.

3. Advertising on Social Networks

It can be very helpful to take advantage of ads on Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, and similar social channels (depending on what content you’re sharing) to increase your reach.

Most social media websites are able to use the data given to them by their users to help target your ads. Advertising your content could hardly be simpler; your niche audience is essentially found for you!

Similarly, Facebook and Twitter offer services that boost content for a fee. This is another easy way to share your content beyond your regular audience.

4. Arrange Collaborations

There are tons of people out there making content on the same (or complementary) topics as you. Reach out and see if they’d be interested in collaborating with you.

You’ll work together to create content with each other, and share it with your individual audiences to increase reach.

5. Use Facebook

Facebook allows for easy syndication, simple and fast sharing of information, and also allows followers to share your content through their own Facebook pages. The helpfulness of other people sharing your content for you cannot be overemphasized!

Of course, all social media allows for this kind of sharing, and should be used accordingly. But Facebook is still by far the largest social network in the world, which means it has the largest audience to receive your content.

6. Email Marketing

You can take advantage of your company’s email list by using it to promote your content. It doesn’t have to be anything fancy; just a simple message to let your company’s followers know about your newest content.

7. Encourage Influencers to Share

Guest contributions can go a long way to getting your content ideas spread into an audience you might not otherwise be able to access. If you know someone in a similar field to your company, reach out to them. Ask if they’d be willing to be your guest, perhaps through an interview with them, or a blog post co-written by the two of you.

Doing this will mean you get access to your guest’s audience. When the content is published, their followers will be just as interested in it as your followers will be. After that, you might start to notice their followers becoming your followers as well.

8. Ask Your Connections

Anyone you’ve worked with before, or who works in a similar field to you could be a connection. Reach out to your connections whom you know well, or have helped you in the past. Have you ever guest posted on some of their content? Maybe it’s time they return the favor! Getting shares from reliable connections is about as easy and effective as it gets.

9. Optimize Social Media Posts

When people are looking for content, they usually turn to their search engine of choice first. When you create content, make sure you have a keyword in mind. This will be something you want to be a gateway to your content when people search for that word or phrase, and incorporate it throughout.

On social media, this can take the form of hashtags, which, when incorporated well, spread fast. Popular social media content is easy to find because of simple, direct hashtags that people associate with the content.

10. Share at Peak Times

When you publish your content is very important, because it is at its most visible when it’s first published. Using an app like Twerioid can make this step simple, by telling you when your company’s Twitter followers are online. A similar function outside of Twitter can be performed by apps like Buffer.

11. Encourage Readers to Share It For You

It is incredibly important to make sure that anyone who views your content is capable of sharing it. Any content posted outside of your social media should conclude with a few links, reminding viewers that they can “click to share!”

12. Encourage Onlookers

For all of the likes your Facebook page has, and all the followers on your Twitter account, there’s bound to be a number of people who are active viewers, but don’t like, share, or follow. Encourage them to do otherwise! A status update like “Almost at 1,000 likes! Come on, guys!” is an encouraging nudge to convince passive onlookers to get involved with sharing your content.

13. Try Outbrain

Outbrain is a platform that makes content discoverable. Often, online articles are followed by links to other interesting digital content; Outbrain manages such content. Registering for Outbrain can mean easy advertisement in places you didn’t know existed!

14. Your Email Signature

Whenever you send an email, post on an online board, or write up a post, include a signature! Internet signatures can include links to your blog posts and social media pages, or they can be more direct. Include a line in your signature similar to “check out our newest content here,” with a link to that content, so everyone you interact with can see it. Keep your signature updated every time you come out with new content.

15. Try Stumbleupon

Stumbleupon is one of the most simple ways of distributing content there is. When a user logs on, they are given randomly chosen links to content based on their interests. The links are given to the sites by companies who are trying to share their content. Stumbleupon is a great way to share content with people who are interested in it.

There are millions of places on the Internet that your content can get to, and a million ways to find them. This is not an exhaustive list, not even close, but it’s a good start to finding what works for you and your company. Never stop looking for new ways to share your content, and it’ll never stop spreading further and further into those millions of places.
