Alia Bhatt's Fans Disappointed as Anurag Kashyap Says He Can't Work with Her

Alia Bhatt, a prominent figure in Bollywood renowned for her exceptional talent, recently received the prestigious National Film Award for Best Actress for her remarkable portrayal in "Gangubai Kathiawadi." Alongside this honor, she's reveling in the success of her latest release, "Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani." Now, filmmaker Anurag Kashyap has lauded the actress and expressed a desire to collaborate with her, albeit with a condition.

In an interview with Zoom Entertainment, Anurag Kashyap revealed his admiration for Alia and his eagerness to work with her, provided it doesn't strain the film's budget. Kashyap, known for his inclination toward low-budget productions, stated, "I think Alia is one of the best performers in the country, and I always reach out to her after watching her work. But I keep quiet when I don’t like something she’s done. I would love to (work with her) if it doesn’t affect the budget and the dynamics of my film, but it also has to come from the other side."

The filmmaker also emphasized his stance on not persisting if an actor hesitates to collaborate. He asserted, "I don’t believe in wishful thinking. I don’t chase actors more than once. If they tell me to make adjustments to the script, I do it, but mostly, their hesitation is enough to get me to back out. Because if their heart isn’t in it, you can tell immediately on the screen," he added.

Notably, Sunny Deol, currently celebrating the success of "Gadar 2," also expressed his desire to collaborate with Alia Bhatt. When asked about his preference for a female co-star, Sunny conveyed his admiration for Alia and envisioned a collaborative project that didn't necessarily entail romantic pairings. "I like Alia Bhatt a lot. It will be interesting to do a film with her. I’m not saying as hero-heroine or opposite (each other), I’m talking it could be anything like a daughter-father," stated Sunny Deol.

Alia Bhatt, whose recent release, "Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani," garnered success both in India and abroad, is diversifying her career. She made her debut in Hollywood with "Heart of Stone," sharing the screen with Gal Gadot and Jamie Dornan. As per reports from Pinkvilla, she's set to embark on a new action film centered around a prison escape, directed by Vasan Bala. Furthermore, Alia Bhatt is actively engaged in several projects, including Sanjay Leela Bhansali's "Baiju Bawra" and a standalone film within Aditya Chopra's spy series. Her career continues to evolve with a rich tapestry of roles and experiences.
