Chandrayaan-3 Lunar Landing: Countdown Begins, Watch Live Streaming Here

Chandrayaan-3, India's most recent lunar mission, is set to achieve a soft landing on the moon's south pole on August 23. Launched by the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) on July 14, the Chandrayaan-3 mission is nearing its culmination after a journey spanning nearly 40 days. With this achievement, India will become the fourth nation to successfully land on the moon. ISRO has affirmed that the mission is proceeding according to schedule and will proceed with the planned landing.

Following the partial success of its previous lunar mission, Chandrayaan-2, India has great expectations from Chandrayaan-3. As the countdown to the lunar landing continues, ISRO has announced its plans to live stream this historic event. The live stream is scheduled to commence at approximately 5:20 PM IST on August 23, with the anticipated landing time at 6:04 PM IST.

For those interested in witnessing this momentous occasion, ISRO will provide live coverage of the Chandrayaan-3 lunar landing on various social media platforms. The official ISRO website, ISRO's YouTube channel, and the organization's Facebook page will broadcast the event. The live stream will begin at 5:20 PM IST, about half an hour before the anticipated landing.

Additionally, DD National TV will broadcast the live telecast of the landing. Viewers can also access the live streaming of the Chandrayaan-3 lunar landing through designated channels.

Chandrayaan-3 was launched on July 14 at 2:35 PM IST aboard the Launch Vehicle Mark-III (LVM-3) rocket from Sriharikota. If the landing unfolds successfully as planned, India will achieve the distinction of being the first country to reach the uncharted south pole of the moon.

ISRO officials have previously indicated that the Chandrayaan-3 lander's mission life spans one lunar day, equivalent to 14 Earth days. During the journey, ISRO shared numerous images of the moon captured by the Chandrayaan-3 mission.
