Girl Receives a Reply from her Dead Father's Phone Number

It is a story that might seem like a fairy tale. But it will restore your belief in humanity and love.

Girl Receives a Reply from her Dead Father's Phone Number

Have you ever thought about what happens to life after death? Death is inevitable. Every time it touches a life, it ends the hope of so many more people. The family, the friends, soak in grief. Sometimes, the absence of a person affects a person so vividly that it changes him/her forever.

The loss of a parent, the loss of a child, or the loss of any loved one- it sketches a deep remark on individuals. So, which death is bigger grief? Is it the death of a child for a parent or for a child to lose a parent? Well, grief cannot be measured. But, definitely can be shared. They say pain lessens when you share, and here is a story of one such sharing of grief.

Everyone has a way of handling pain. Some just succumb to the darkest corner, and some are like Chastity Patterson. A painful incident hit her as the 23-year-old girl lost her father. The death of her father had a massive impact on Chastity. She missed him every day and wished she could share it all with her father. She decided to send her father a message every day. Ever since her father died, she texted her father's phone number. She used to write about all the updates of her life. She poured her heart out with a long emotional message.

But one day, something happened that she could never imagine in her wildest dream. It was the fourth anniversary of her father. As usual, she sent a long emotional message to his father's number. But this time, she got a reply. Yes! She received a response that flipped her life in seconds.

In the long message, Chastity wrote how she missed her father and also told him about significant events of her life like graduating college and fighting cancer.

The message said: Hey Dad, It's ME. Tomorrow is going to be a tough day again! It's been 4 years since I lost you, and not a day goes by that I don't' t miss you. A lot has happened in that short time. I beat cancer, and I haven't gotten sich since you were here, like I promised you I would take better care of myself! I finished college and graduated honors, now I'm back and finishing up again! I fell in love and had my heart broken( you would have killed him), but I picked my head up and became an even stronger woman. I lost all my friends and hit rock bottom, but I found someone who came into my life and saved me! I don't have any children yet, you would be so happy, but I'm ready. I still drive momma crazy every day, but I'm keeping her on her toes. I'm sorry I wasn't there when you needed me the most, but one day we will have our chance to watch that game! I'm afraid of marriage because I'll have to walk that long aisle alone and you won't be there tell me everything will be okay. I'm doing great, you would be so proud of the woman I have become…NOOOOO my smart mouth and attitude have not changed, and NO, I have not gained weight; it only goes to my head! I just wanted to say I love you, and I really do miss you!

When Chastity, was emerged with her heart bled out, she gets a reply. Someone on the other end was receiving all the messages she was sending all these years. The person never wanted to break the silence and stop Chastity from letting her heart out. On the other end was Brad. A bereaved father who was grieving the loss of her daughter. These messages were a relief to his pain. But on that very day, Brad couldn't stop himself from typing and sending a reply to Chastity

Brad wrote: Hi, sweetheart, I am not your father, but I have been getting all your messages for the past 4 years. I look forward to your morning messages and your nightly updates. My name is Brad, and I lost my daughter in a car wreck in August 2014, and your messages have kept me alive. When you text me, I know it's a message from God. I'm sorry you lost someone so close to you, but I have listened to you over the years, and I have watched you grow and go through more than anyone. I have wanted to text you back for years, but I didn't want to break your heart. You are an extraordinary woman, and I wish my daughter would have become the woman you are, thank you for your daily updates, you remind me that there is a God and it wasn't his fault that my little girl is gone. He gave me you, my little angel, and I knew this day was coming. Everything will be okay, you to push yourself every day and shine the light God gave you. I'm sorry you have to go through this, but if it makes it any better, I am very proud of you!

P.S. I think your father would be happy to know you bought another dog instead of having children S. Take care, and I look forward to your updates tomorrow.

Chastity after receiving the reply was elated, and thankfully she shared the bond on Social Media with the screenshot of messages. Ever since then, Brad and Chastity are in contact.

This shows the Strength of Humanity, Love, and Compassion. It doesn't cost anything to be kind. A story like this inspires us and teaches us that it is okay to be sad, and it is necessary to open up in times of sorrow. The pain of one can sail another through a rough sea, and support can help lives see a better tomorrow. You do not need to know each other for being supportive. You do not need to be in contact to be compassionate. Sometimes, all you need is to listen and heal yourself and others.
