Michelle Obama ‘Would Never Forgive Trump’, She Writes in Her Memoir

The most awaited memoir of former US First Lady Michelle Obama is released recently. In the book, Michelle has ripped President Trump for spreading the conspiracy theory against her husband Barack Obama. The excerpts from her memoir “Becoming Michelle Obama”, Michelle said she would ‘never forgive’ Mr. Trump for his claims that her husband was not actually born in America.

The book which is going to release on November 13th, details her early life in Chicago and her life all the way through as the First Lady, which also includes her feelings of shock and disbelief that followed the election of Trump in 2016.

The former First Lady wrote in her book, “The whole thing was crazy and mean-spirited, of course, its underlying bigotry and xenophobia hardly concealed”. She also said, “But it was also dangerous, deliberately meant to stir up the wingnuts and kooks. What if someone with an unstable mind loaded a gun and drove to Washington? What if that person went looking for our girls? Donald Trump, with his loud and reckless innuendos, was putting my family's safety at risk. And for this I'd never forgive him”.

In the memoir, the comments of Michelle Obama are seen as most direct, which are aimed at the current US President, whom she has mostly avoided criticizing after leaving the White House last year.

Published by Penguin, in the book, there are other criticisms too, which are aimed at Trump’s comments on women, which includes in the “Access Hollywood” tape as well as his behavior during the debates with Hillary Clinton, his 2016 opponent.

About the book in a nutshell

In her memoir, Michelle Obama invites readers to her experiences that have shaped her from her childhood on the South Side of Chicago, later as an executive balancing the demands both at home and work, later her time spent at the world’s most famous address. In the book, she describes her triumphs and her disappointments, both public as well as private, telling her story as she has lived it in her own words and terms.
