Rahul Gandhi Says Narendra Modi Taught Me What Not to Do

It was a clean sweep for Congress Party in yesterday’s Assembly Elections results. Congress party defeated BJP in three states namely Rajasthan, Chattisgarh and by a narrow margin in Madhya Pradesh. In Madhya Pradesh Congress bagged 114 seats while BJP acquired 109 seats. In Telangana K Chandrashekar Rao’s party achieved victory emphasizing on the fact that regional parties still rule in the south. The people’s mandate has definitely boosted Congress President- Rahul Gandhi’s political persona and makes him a strong component against Narendra Modi in the upcoming 2019 elections.

Rahul Gandhi appeared very confident as he thanked, "farmers, party workers, shopkeepers and small businessmen.” He went on to add that it would be very difficult for Narendra Modi to win the upcoming 2019 elections. "Clearly, there is a feeling that PM Modi was unable to deliver what he committed," said the Congress President.

Without a doubt, Rahul Gandhi and the Congress leaders’ strategies clearly worked big time in favour of the party. Rahul said that Congress doesn’t want to make India a ‘BJP mukth bharat’ in contrast with BJP’S ideology to get rid of Congress completely. He expressed that Congress would put in all efforts to “fight it ideologically.” Gandhi also remarked, "Frankly, Narendra Modi taught me the lesson - what not to do."

Meanwhile, PM Narendra Modi congratulated Congress, Telangana’s K Chandrashekar Rao and Mizo National Front for their victories. The tweet read “We accept the people’s mandate with humility. I thank the people of Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan for giving us the opportunity to serve these states. The BJP Governments in these states worked tirelessly for the welfare of the people.”

Modi expressed that victory and defeat are an integral part of life and these results have made BJP’S resolve to work for the betterment of the citizens even more. Other BJP leaders too do not believe that these results would in any way affect their party’s performance in the upcoming national elections.

After a party meet today, Rahul Gandhi would decide who would hold the chief ministerial portfolio in the state of Rajasthan, the frontrunners for this post being Sachin Pilot and senior leader Ashok Gehlot. In the state of Madhya Pradesh Kamal Nath and Jyotiraditya Scindia had worked hard for the congress campaign and thus both of them are top contenders for the chief ministerial post. Chhattisgarh Congress president Bhupesh Baghel is one of the top contenders for the chief minister’s portfolio in the state of Chhattisgarh.
