Winter Does Not Feel Like It: Indians Disappointed after Less Chilly Days Observed
India did not receive the amount of cold it usually gets. Experts claim El-Nino and climate change are the biggest threat leading to a reduction in cold weather.

Wondered why India did not experience the winter feel? Many people are complaining about the minimum and maximum temperatures. The Country's capital witnessed a 4.6 degree in the year 2024 however, the year 2025 witnessed a warmer temperature with the lowest range going around 10 degrees Celsius. Many scientists are claiming that the sudden rise in temperatures is caused because of climate change.
Winter is introduced in the mid-week of November and pertains for roughly 3 months and by the end of February, winter bids adieu. However, this year changed the history and winter did not even feel like the winters. North Indian states witnessed the highest amount of chills whereas the year 2025 was utterly disappointing for most people.
Some scientists claim that El Nino harmed the cold waves coming to India. The warming of water was in a higher range, which changed the weather patterns significantly. This was also a reason India saw a rainfall deficit this year. El Nino has a direct impact on temperature as it alters the weather and controls moisture, which creates immense challenges.
The rising level of pollution is also one of the challenges because of which the colder days could not be felt. The constant movement of vehicles leads to pollution which further results in smog which creates a layer of mass over the troposphere which prohibits the cold waves from entering the earth’s land. This is further a challenge as cities and states battle to bring cold weather. Despite constant efforts to minimize the pollution, the cold weather could not be obtained.
Not just India but the majority of the countries are in danger because of climate change. Rising Global Warming levels have gone up and are leading to ice melting in the Arctic and Antarctic. Experts do not just warn of rising water levels but a challenge that is far near and might impact people in some years. Weather is pivotal in the survival of human beings and a sustained and stable weather system will ensure a healthy habitat.
The heat dissipation from various landmasses and islands further makes the water and the air hot, keeping minimal room for the cold air to enter the atmosphere of the earth. While there have been certain measures provided barely people can maintain them over their comfort and luxury.
The state governments need to curb some rules to keep the weather patterns simple. Inappropriate weather patterns are an indication of the changing climate which may impact the lives soon and may disrupt the sustenance.
