Anupam Mittal and Vineeta Singh from Shark Tank Describe Pitching in Unusual Places: "Inside Washrooms, Chasing Cars"

Shark Tank India's Anupam Mittal and Vineeta Singh recall how people tried to pitch their business ideas to them in elevators, bathrooms and even while driving.

Anupam Mittal and Vineeta Singh from Shark Tank Describe Pitching in Unusual Places:

Shaadi.com founder and Shark Tank India judge Anupam Mittal spoke about the strangest place where someone pitched their business idea. In a recent interview, Anupam recalled a time when someone was trying to pitch their idea in a car next to him. Several times, he said, he has been approached inside the elevator.

Vineeta Singh of Sugar and Peyush Bansal of Lenskart talked about people stopping them inside washrooms to share their business ideas. When Peyush was in a car, someone waved from their car and he waved back. Upon reaching his home, he saw the person. After getting out of the car, they pitched their idea outside Peyush's house.

Anupam Mittal told Film Companion, "I think elevator pitch has become literal." Vineeta interrupted and told Anupam that someone was chasing his car for 'car to car pitching'. Anupam nodded as he said, "I haven't taken an elevator ride in how long without someone pitching."

Anupam remembered what the person told him. He said, "It's crazy. 'Sir ek baat karni hai, aap sun lijiye, sir ek baat karni hai (Sir, I want to talk to you, listen to me)'." Vineeta added that the person was 'driving next to him and trying to stop him'.

Anupam, Vineeta, and Peyush appeared together as sharks on Shark Tank India. They will also appear in the second season along with returning sharks Aman Gupta (boAt) and Namita Thapar (Emcure pharmaceuticals). They will also be joined by Amit Jain, CEO and co-founder of CarDekho. The new season will premiere on January 2 on Sony Entertainment Television.

One of two judges who is not returning to Shark Tank India from season one is Ashneer Grover, the BharatPe co-founder. Recently, “I have been reading a lot of this but the reality is that I am a new shark bringing a new dimension to the show. Each shark has his way of telling his own story in his own way. Everyone brings something unique to the table,” he had said.
