French daredevil Remi Lucidi known for extreme sports died after falling from the 68th floor in Tregunter Tower complex in Hong Kong. He was 30. 

Lucidi was seen in the residential complex around 6pm. He told security guards that he had come to visit a friend. 

A report in the South China Morning Post said, “The security gate tried to stop him after the alleged friend confirmed he was not acquainted with Lucidi, but by then he was already in an elevator.”

“CCTV footage shows Lucidi arriving on the 49th floor and later taking the stair up to the top of the building. People found a hatch leading to the roof open but say the man was nowhere to be found,” it said.

It added: “However, he was seen alive at 7.38 pm, tapping on the window of the complex's penthouse, which prompted a maid in the apartment to call the police.”

The french adventurer was trapped outside the penthouse and was banging on the window for help as he feared that he would fall down the building. 

The report said, “He is believed to have gotten trapped outside the top-floor penthouse, frantically knocking on a window and startling a maid inside.” 

Remi Lucidi was pronounced dead at the scene after he fell from the 68th floor of the building. 

The police also found Lucidi's camera at the scene and it contained videos of his death defying high-rise stunts.

Police have yet to issue the official cause of his death. 

According to Gurjit Kaur, the owner of the hostel where Remi boarded, Remi was a “friendly and humble guy.”

“He was healthy and fit and happy-faced,” he told a news outlet. Mr Kaur was saddened by the incident. 

Remi’s followers took to social media to offer their tributes to their stunt hero.  

“Sad news no one ever wants to hear about a fellow explorer”, wrote a fan. 

 “Rest easy bro I love you.”

“You’ll never leave us, you’re unique,” said another user.
