Irrfan Khan’s Son Babil to Make His Debut with ‘Qala’; Trailer Inside

Late actor Irrfan Khan’s son Babil Khan is making his debut alongside Triptii Dimrii in the upcoming Netflix movie ‘Qala.’

The actor said that living up to his father’s name scared him at first although now he has put his fear to good use.

At the trailer launch of his debut film, ‘Qala’ Babil said that he wants to explore all kinds of movies.

“We have this illusion, we think we are in control of our journey (but) we are not. I will improvise with what life throws at me. I want to explore everything, I want to do all kinds of films and play all kinds of characters,” Babil told reporters in Mumbai.

When asked about what qualities of his father he desired to inculcate into his acting skills, Babil said that his father took his qualities and went away. Now, he’ll explore his own.

Everyone loved Irrfan Khan for his fabulous acting. There would be high expectations from Babil too.

The trailer of the psychological drama  ‘Qala’ was released on Tuesday. It is different for sure and takes you back to the period of the 1930s and 1940s.

The movie revolves around the story of a young girl who is a playback singer tracing her path to success. While she’s enjoying her musical fame; a young boy Jagan (played by Babil Khan) enters the scene. His entrance seems to have perturbed her as if he knows a dark secret.

He is defined as a "maestro" by his colleagues and has a reputation for replacing people. Things start to go haywire after Jagan enters her life.

“Mama, Something is wrong with me, Mama”, she’s heard speaking on the phone.

Looks like the young girl’s musical career is declining. In another scene, the girl’s health is being discussed and the doctor says that she’s probably exhausted. The girl again stresses that it is not exhaustion. There is something wrong with her,  she explains.

Netflix shared the trailer of ‘Qala’  with these lines, “The innocence in her voice is only matched by the pain in her eyes. We are already preparing ourselves to experience the rollercoaster of emotions that is Qala, come 1st December. Streaming only on Netflix.

So what is wrong with a young talented girl who was at the peak of her career ? Why does Jagan's presence unsettle her?
