Wajid Khan’s health deteriorated in Mumbai’s Surana Sethia hospital in Chembur which is where his mother is also hospitalized. She will continue to remain in the hospital until her tests turn out negative.
Wajid died of cardiac arrest as a result of kidney complications although he contracted coronavirus later due to his low immunity.
An ABP News report has said, “Wajid’s mother Razina had already contracted coronavirus before the late musician was infected with the virus.” She had contracted it after she was exposed to other coronavirus patients in the hospital.
He was finally laid to rest at Versova cemetery on Monday with only close family and friends in attendance. His brother Sajid became emotional while bidding farewell to his brother for the last time at the ceremony.
He first scored music for movie Pyar Kiya to Darna Kya that featured Salman Khan in 1998. Along with his brother Sajid, he has created music for films like Dabangg 2, Hello Brother, Baaghi, Pagalpanti, Rowdy Rathore, and many more.
He even lent his voice for songs like Hud Hud Dabangg in film Dabangg, Mukhtasar in Teri Meri Kahaani and Right Now in Housefull 2.
The talented composer composed music for many Salman starrer films like Hello, Wanted, and Mujhse Shaadi Karoge.
He co-composed Salman’s songs Pyaar Karona and Bhai Bhai. Not to forget the widely acclaimed Sajid Wajid duo scored the IPL4 theme song- Dhoom Dhoom Dhoom Dhadaka.
It is said that Wajid had a beautiful smile, a melodious voice and a heart of gold. Sonu Nigam was one of the first celebs to give the news of his sad demise on social media.
