Directed by Jeff Wadlow, who also made another horror flick for Blumhouse, 'Truth or Dare’(2018), adapted the plot from the 1970s American television series sharing the same name.

Director and co-producer Jeff Wadlow shares, how much he loved the show himself back in the 70s. “I remember it very well from when I was a kid. It had such a fun, mischievous energy. I love the way the writers played with the audience, the same way Mr. Roarke played with his guests.”
Wadlow further added that the original show was an anthology having new guest stars every week. A fan himself, Mr. Director wanted to roll in a long-running series in a compact feature film.
