A Bomb Threat Was Issued to a College in Bangalore, Causing Panic

Two colleges in Bangalore received a bomb threat, which later turned out to be a hoax. The two private engineering colleges were located in central Bangalore. Students from RV College and Karnataka Chitrakala Parisadh have been evacuated after the news was received by the college. A team also continued investigations on the campus post, where no trace of bombs was found.

The bomb squad also reached the location and performed a thorough search, during which they were able to assess the threat levels. However, after the details inspection, the police also confirmed that the emails were a hoax and there is no threat to either of he colleges. In the police complaint made by RV college of Engineering, they stated, "We have received two emails from Rajput Sindaar (sindaarrajput@gmail.com) on April 21 at 9.13 pm and 9.31 pm stating 'Bomb blast in your college' and 'Save your students and principal life from bomb blast".

The police claimed that "We got a call around 11 am. The threat emails were discovered by staff while going through routine communication via email. The threats were the RV College of Engineering and the Karnataka Chitrakala Parishath.”

After receiving information, the police have deployed a bomb and dog squad, and no object was found that could be a threat to the students or the people around. "Nothing suspicious was found. It turned out to be hoax threats, and we have registered two separate cases in this regard. The matter is being investigated."

In February, Bangalore airport received a similar hoax threat, which heightened the security measures. The threat was made ahead of Aero India 2025. The email said that drone strikes will be made on flights in Bangalore, Kerala, and Chennai. This further called for immense challenges in the aviation sector and led to a ramped-up security measure across the mentioned airports.

Airports generally take these situations quite seriously, as this can impact a large number of people. Certain investigations are being done, and cancellation of flights may also happen for which could affect a mass number of people might get affected. Moreover, this can be an operational issue for which financial losses may also occur.

Threats to educational institutions, hospitals, and airports have become a common aspect and are causing high costs in advancing the security forces. While the forces are trying their best to assess the situations and bring a positive aspect, there are constant threats being given to the country and its resources.
