A Man in Kozhikode Was Arrested Who Posed as A PMO Member

A Man from Kozhikode was arrested today morning as he pretended to be a member of the PMO office and sought the location of INS Vikrant. The call was received at Naval Command, Kochi. The accused is identified as Mujib Rahman, a local native from Elathur. After the complaint was received by the Navy, he was booked under the Official Secrets Act. According to the reports, he will be interrogated by the authorities on why he was trying to extract information about INS Vikrant.

The incident came into rise after the heated escalation between India and Pakistan post-operation Sindoor. India had deployed its ships along its international borders to save the water from infiltrators. It was quite uncertain for the Indian forces to choose the way of attack. Indian forces retaliated through air and land. However, the waters needed to be secured, for which it was deployed off the Karachi coast in order to ensure safety.

On May 10th, India and Pakistan decided to cease fire and bring the situation back to normal. Many troops were limited and withdrawn from different places. However, Pakistani forces took advantage of the situation and then retaliated hours after the agreement and made drone attacks. Indian Air defence systems were capable of tackling them in no time, and they were blasted off into the air.

Meanwhile, the caller, Mujib Rahman, pretended to be Raghavan, calling directly from the PM's office to seek the location of INS Vikrant. INS Vikrant has served as one of the most strategic ships as it is capable of carrying multi-role aircraft and has an active runway system that can intercept targets. It carries close to 40 fighter jets and 10 Kamov helicopters. It is also equipped with 64 Barrak Missiles, which can tackle any aerial threats.

In the current scenario, any calls seeking secret information will be deemed as an act of terrorism. The nation is building a safety zone, and such acts may lead to long-term investigations. INS Vikrant is currently the most powerful stealth weapon, and it has been redesigned and deployed in the year 2022. Security threats for such an aircraft will be taken seriously. Though there is no response from the authorities on what made the caller ask about the information, some officials believe this to be a hoax call. However, the security has to follow certain protocols and identify the real reason behind the caller posing as a PMO member.
