An IPS Officer Lost His Life in An Accident Right Before The First Posting
An IPS of batch 2023 was killed in a road accident as the tire of the car had burst, hitting a house and tree.
IPS officer of batch 2023 was killed in a road accident as he was going for his first commission. The officer is identified as Harsh Bardhan, who was commissioned in Hassan district and hailed from Madhya Pradesh.
The incident happened when Harsh was traveling in a police car whose tire had burst in the middle of the road. The driver of the police car could not control the vehicle and eventually hit a house and then a tree leading to a fatal accident.
He was supposed to join the duty as an Assistant Superintendent of Police in Holenarasinpur. Even after receiving medical treatment, he could not be saved and he succumbed to the injuries. While the driver, Manjegowda sustained his life with minor injuries.
The police officer had undergone a 4-week training at Mysore just before joining duty in Hassan however, with the tragic incident, he could not join the duty and died in the hospital. Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramiah posted on X claiming "Saddened to hear about the death of probationary IPS officer Harsh Bardhan in a horrific accident near Kittane border of Hassan-Mysuru Highway. Sadly, such an accident happened while he was on his way to take charge of an IPS office. This should not have happened when years of hard work were paying off,"
Images have emerged from the crash site, showing the damaged car's condition. In the Image, a blue police vehicle can be seen the car has completely crumbled. The deadly incident was reported by the onlookers post which the police reaced the spot.
