Arin and Ryan Dixit Chart Their Own Paths Outside Bollywood
Madhuri Dixit’s sons, Arin and Ryan, have chosen to stay away from Bollywood and are instead building careers in technology and academics, following their own interests.
Madhuri Dixit has spent decades in the public eye as one of Bollywood’s most iconic and enduring stars. However, when it comes to her personal life—especially her children—the actress has maintained a careful balance between fame and privacy.
Madhuri married renowned cardiovascular surgeon Dr Shriram Nene in 1999. Her sons, Arin and Ryan, have largely stayed away from the limelight and have chosen career paths far removed from the film industry.
She has often shared that neither of them showed much interest in joining the film industry. Both Arin and Ryan completed their early education in the United States.
Arin, born in March 2003, did briefly explore the idea of working in films but soon found his true interests elsewhere. He developed a strong inclination toward technology and music, managing to balance both passions along the way.
Arin went on to pursue a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science and Business Administration at the University of Southern California.
After completing his studies, he stepped into the tech industry and is currently working at Apple as a Machine Learning Engineer, as per details available on his professional profile. He also indulges in his hobby of creating music.
Younger son Ryan, born in 2005, has shown no inclination toward films at all. He is more focused on technology, engineering, and mathematics and is currently pursuing higher education at USC.
Madhuri Dixit has addressed questions about whether she consciously kept her children away from Bollywood. In interviews, she has emphasized that their career decisions were never imposed but were entirely their own.
She explained that while she never restricted them from visiting film sets or being part of her professional world, she also respected their wishes when they chose not to engage.
“I didn’t really keep them away. I have taken them when they wanted to come with me, and if they didn’t, I respected that,” she said.
By allowing her children the freedom to explore their interests without pressure, Madhuri Dixit has supported Arin and Ryan in carving out their own identities—away from the expectations that often come with being children of a Bollywood star.
