Bad Boys Will Smith and Martin Lawrence Were Conferred Miami Badges
Smith took to Instagram to share his joy with his fans. Along with pictures and videos he wrote about being named Miami police officers as reel life turns into real life.
Will Smith and Martin Lawrence were named honorary Miami Police. This honor has been bestowed upon them just days before the release of their third Bad Boy sequel called Bad Boys for Life. Both the Bad boys were excited and happy to receive the titles and they made it a point to celebrate the event with the Miami department.
Smith took to Instagram to share his joy with his fans. Along with pictures and videos he wrote about being named Miami police officers as reel life turns into real life. The 51-year-old actor wrote-“Been rockin’ with Miami for over 25 years and today me and @martinlawrence got the keys to the city and were officially made honorary Miami Police officers!! Big thanx @francisxsuarez and @pitbull (happy BDay) for setting us up! #badboysforlife,”
Not only were they honored with the titles, but it was also announced that Miami city will mark January 12th as the “Bad Boys for Life” day. The people cheered and applauded as the announcement was made.
The third franchise of the Bad Boys sequel which will be releasing soon is all about reunion and friendship. That does not mean there will not be any action sequence. Where there are cops like Mike Lowrey and Marcus Burnett action is bound to happen. However, this being the third sequel with Smith and Lawrence teaming up after such a long gap, there are bound to be emotional situations. In the trailer released, we have already seen that Marcus is thinking of hanging his shoes or rather holstering his gun and retire. Will he be enticed to join Lowrey again one last time is yet to be seen.
Talking about retiring, Will Smith turned into a Good Boy when he took out time from his hectic schedule to surprise an iHeart Radio receptionist on the day of her retirement. He had met her 30years ago during one of his first interviews. Quite surprising he remembered her after all these years. Seems WIll the Genie has quite a heart.
Once again, he took to Instagram to show the receptionist’s excitement when he greeted her. He messaged, "My favorite moments on the road are the ones where I can connect with people like @anitascipio," the "Men in Black" star wrote. "I met her at the front desk before one of my VERY FIRST interviews of my career… and yesterday I was lucky enough to see her off into retirement 30 years later."
The video shared shows him greeting, Ms Anita Scipio, the excited receptionist. She saw the 51-year-old actor and yelled "Will Smith! Oh my God!" She added, "I met you like 30 years ago... You were just getting started and I met you then for the first time, now, to have you back again, it's full-circle! God, I love you, you're amazing."
Will Smith explained, "She said I made her day. Y'all... she made MINE. Enjoy yourself Mama and keep spreading that love & light wherever you go!"
Smith told her, "You go out there and you make sure you have some fun."
Scipio said, I'm gonna have some fun full of love and happiness for the rest of my life, that's what I believe in living for."
Smith has had a successful career. He has been nominated for five Golden Globes and two Oscars and four Grammy awards and now he has earned our hearts.
Bad Boys for Life will be released in theaters on January 17, 2020.
