Bella Hadid is Back on The Streets of Paris after Health Scare
Bella Hadid made a stylish return to the public eye in Paris ahead of Fashion Week, following a long battle with Lyme disease. Her appearance marks a hopeful step forward in her ongoing recovery journey.
American supermodel Bella Hadid was recently spotted on the streets of Paris, marking her first public appearance following an extended period of treatment for Lyme disease. The sighting comes just days ahead of Paris Fashion Week, set to begin on September 29 and run through October 7.
Hadid, known for her distinctive street style, was captured by photographer Tiziano Da Silva wearing a quintessential fall ensemble. The 26-year-old model donned a brown trench coat over blue jeans, paired with pointed kitten heels and black oval sunglasses. She completed her chic Parisian look with a hairband pulling back her brunette flowing hair and carried the popular Coach Tabby Shoulder Bag 26 — a statement accessory that didn't go unnoticed by fans.
Social media quickly lit up with reactions to her appearance. One fan on X (formerly Twitter), @DUDA, posted: “bella hadid giving out fall fashion inspo in paris today, photographed by tiziano da silva,” along with a candid street shot of the model.

Hadid's return to the public eye comes after a long and intense battle with chronic Lyme disease, which she was diagnosed with in 2012. Her mother, former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Yolanda Hadid, has been vocal about their shared struggle with the condition. On September 18, Yolanda, 61, posted emotional photos of Bella in the hospital, shedding light on the toll the illness has taken on her daughter.
“As you will understand, watching my Bella struggle in silence has cut the deepest core of hopelessness inside me,” Yolanda wrote on Instagram. “The invisible disability of chronic neurological Lyme disease is hard to explain or understand for anyone. I try to lead by example on our Lyme journey, but my own pain cannot compare to watching my baby suffer.”
Yolanda also shared that Bella had chosen to stop sharing updates about her health for a period, choosing instead to focus on healing privately. “I am so proud of the fighter that you are. You are not alone, I promise to have your back every step of the way, no matter how long this takes,” she added.
In a recent Instagram Story, Bella posted a photo of herself walking on a treadmill, captioned: “Just walking but still! Getting my stamina back.” The moment was a quiet but powerful milestone in her recovery, and her mother quickly responded with encouragement, commenting, “Gooooo Bella ….. One day at a time.”
Lyme disease is an illness caused by Borrelia bacteria and one can contract the disease by the bite of an infected tick carrying the bacteria. Often referred to as an “invisible illness,” it can cause a wide range of symptoms including chronic fatigue, neurological issues, and joint pain. It remains a complex condition to diagnose and treat, especially in its later stages.
With her reemergence in Paris just ahead of Fashion Week, fans and followers are hopeful that Bella Hadid is slowly finding her strength again — both personally and professionally.
