Dia Mirza Calls for an Apology from the Media Following Rhea Chakraborty's Clearance in The Sushant Singh Rajput Case
Dia Mirza demands an apology from the media after Rhea Chakraborty receives a clean chit from the CBI in the Sushant Singh Rajput’s death case.
The CBI has filed closure reports related to Sushant Singh Rajput’s death case on March 22, giving actress Rhea Chakraborty a clear chit in the case. The closure report has been filed in two cases - the allegations made by Sushant Singh’s father against Rhea Chakraborty and Rhea Chakraborty’s allegations against his family.
The CBI took over the case from the state of Bihar in August 2020. Sources reveal that the agency did not find any evidence that someone drove the actor to suicide. The authorities have absolved everyone’s name in both the FIR’s.
Following this, Dia Mirza took to Instagram and demanded an apology from the media for Rhea Chakraborty. For the unversed, Rhea underwent a severe media trial in 2020.
“Who in the media will have the grace to put out a written apology to Rhea Chakraborthy and her family?”, Dia Mirza wrote in her Instagram story.
"You went on a witch hunt. You caused deep anguish and harassment just for TRP's. Apologise. That's the very least you can do," Dia Mirza added to her post.
The actress and her family had gone through a bitter ordeal during this period. Chakraborty’s lawyer, Satish Maneshinde said, “I salute her and her family for enduring inhuman treatment in silence.”
