Dwayne Johnson Says-Enough Holiday Spirit for Families to Enjoy Jumanji as Well as Star Wars

As we enter into the month of December, we have two great movies getting ready to fight it out to the finish. Yes, fans are eagerly waiting for the release of their favorite movies-Jumanji The Next Level and Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker. As these two gigantic Sci-fi movies get ready to battle it out once again, we wonder who will emerge as the winners. This is not the first their release is clashing. This December, it will be the second time and we all eager to know the outcome.

In 2017, Jumanji-Welcome to the Jungle had huge profits and were clearly the victors. So there is a strong feeling that they would continue with their winning streak even this year. The points they have in their favor is that there is a lot of comedy and action in their movies and the star cast is impressive. Also, the movie appeals to all age groups.

On the other hand, Star Wars has a history of creating a buzz whenever it has a sequel releasing. This year according to the online movie ticket-selling website Fandango, it is believed the pre-selling of the movie tickets are very high and so Jumanji may have tough competition.

However, Dwayne Johnson has his own theory. Speaking to Digital Spy he said, ‘We’re bananas to go against [it]’. He added,‘This Star Wars is gonna be awesome.’ He also mentioned  there’s enough to go around and enough holiday spirit for families to enjoy Jumanji as well as Star Wars.’

Jumanji actress Karen Gillan was not as gracious as The Rock. She bluntly added,  there’s enough to go around and enough holiday spirit for families to enjoy Jumanji as well as Star Wars.’

Dwayne seems unfazed by the competition. If you follow Dwayne Johnson on Instagram you will not miss the cute picture he has uploaded of him holding Baby Yoda.

For those who do not know baby Yoda, he is a character from the Star Wars series on the Disney + show "The Mandalorian. People have taken a fancy to the cute Yoda and Dwayne is among them. In the picture ‘The Rock’ is seen cuddling baby Yoda similar to the pose he had while holding his youngest daughter when she was born. He captioned the picture with the words, "Thank you all so much for your well wishes, love & support. Can't wait to bring this little nugget home to meet his brother @KevinHart4real."

He also took the famous Star Wars catch line-"Luke, I am your father" and used it as a hashtag  #iamyourfather. Of course, this was aimed at his Jumanji co-star, Kevin Hart. Both have a history of trolling one another in a lighthearted way.

Keeping jokes aside, people are looking forward to seeing both the movies and like Dwayne Johnson said, there is enough space for both the movies as it is the season of sharing and caring.
