EAM S Jaishankar Sees Tighter Security amid India-Pakistan War
Security heightened for EAM S Jaishankar as a part of precautionary measures after Operation Sindoor. 33 commandos and 6 armed personnel deployed for his safety.
The majority of Ministers who were directly involved in the operation Sindoor have been given enhanced security. Especially after the Pahalgam attack, the Ministry of Home Affairs has ordered to enhance the security of External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar. He has been given a bulletproof car, and security around his house has also been strengthened.
EAM S Jaishankar gets a Z-category protection from the Central Reserve Police Force. In his security, he gets close to 33 commandos and 6 armed personnel for his safety. For his residence, he will be getting another 10 commandos. The move came after the External Affairs Ministry requested to tighten the security of the S. Jaishankar because of the cross retaliation as a result of the 100 percent precision targets on Pakistani terror base camps.
Delhi Police is also reviewing the current security measures for other higher officials, including the BJP leaders. Union Minister and CM of Delhi will also be given enhanced security. This decision came after the Delhi Police Commissioner chaired a high-level meeting. The list includes people who have been accused by Pakistan of labeling them as Terrorists. Also, the ministers who have accused Pakistan of creating ruckus on social media are also being given the security.
The forces behind the security of the high-profile individuals have been directed to equip the vehicles with first aid as a precautionary measure by which immediate medical help can be provided. The security agencies are trying their bit to ensure the safety of the Ministers. The sudden escalation of India and Pakistan after the Pahalgam attack has brought internal risks for the Ministers.
India retaliated against Pakistan after the Pahalgam attack, where it targeted 9 Terror bases of Pakistan. Despite retaliatory trials, Pakistan could not impact the Indian land. It tried missile and drone attacks on India; however, with the air defence systems, India was able to counter the missiles, leading to better safety and security.
EAM S Jaishankar has international relations and is the only official to communicate between India and other countries. Currently, all ministers are being provided enhanced protection as there are a lot of comments and social media posts made, which might account for conflicts. Thus, an additional protection comes as a precautionary measure from the Home Ministry, which has directed all the stationed police agencies to set up a directive meeting to plan out the security measures.
