Entertainer Shekhar Vijayan Shares His Inspiring Journey from the Corporate World to the Entertainment World

From working in top class companies such as Accenture, HP, and Convergys to becoming an international entertainer, Shekhar Vijayan’s story is truly inspiring.

I’ve seen him as a manager as we worked in the same company but I was in for a big surprise when I witnessed the creative side of his personality in recent years.

Leaving a secure corporate job and choosing to enter the entertainment industry which was completely an unknown territory must not have been an easy path to traverse.  He did it only because of his immense love and passion to entertain.

Before long he realized that this was not the life he desired to live. Deep down in his heart, he desired to do something that utilized his passion and potential to the fullest. He had this constant urge to entertain, motivate and inspire. Despite being criticized for taking the plunge into the unknown, he followed his heart.

What’s interesting about Shekhar is that he not only made the transition possible but also climbed the ladder of fame and success in a short frame of time.

He believes that failures are stepping stones to success. A leader is a true leader if he or she has failed. He firmly believes that if you haven’t failed, you haven’t succeeded.  He emphasizes the fact that we all make mistakes however we must learn from those mistakes and he swears by the motto, “You don’t win the silver, you lose the gold.”

Shekhar is married and lives with his wife Nisha in Bangalore.
