Govinda Hospitalised after Sudden Collapse: Awaiting Test Reports

Bollywood veteran Govinda has been hospitalized at CritiCare Hospital in Juhu after he reportedly lost consciousness late on Tuesday night. The 61-year-old actor fainted at his residence following a bout of disorientation, his close friend and legal advisor Lalit Bindal confirmed to NDTV.

According to Bindal, the actor was initially given medication after a telephonic consultation with his doctor before being urgently rushed to the hospital for further medical attention. "He was given medicine after consulting a doctor and was admitted to the hospital in emergency at 1 am," Bindal said while confirming the development.

He refrained from sharing further details regarding Govinda’s current health status but added, "He has undergone several tests and is now awaiting the reports." The sudden incident has caused concern among fans and well-wishers, who have flooded social media with messages praying for his speedy recovery.

This is not the first time the actor has faced a health scare. In October last year, Govinda sustained a bullet injury in his leg after accidentally firing his licensed revolver. The mishap occurred when he was reportedly placing the firearm in a cupboard at his home. The gun slipped and discharged unexpectedly, injuring him below the knee. He was immediately taken to CritiCare Hospital, where he underwent an hour-long surgery to remove the bullet.

Recalling the shocking moment, Govinda had shared after his recovery, "I was leaving for a show in Kolkata and it was early morning around 5... woh giri aur chal padi (it fell and misfired)... I was stunned, and then I saw a fountain of blood coming out." He also mentioned that his doctor accompanied him to the hospital during the emergency, ensuring he received immediate treatment.

Known for his charismatic personality and vibrant screen presence, Govinda has remained a beloved figure in Indian cinema for decades. Fans admire him not just for his energetic performances but also for his humility and optimism, which continue to define his persona even off-screen.
