Indian Satellites That Worked Tirelessly to Ensure the Safety of India

Protection of the Indian skies becomes ever essential since India and Pakistan faced off in a war. India and Pakistan initiated a heated situation after the Pahalgam attack, and since then, missiles have been launched from both sides. To ensure the safety of the nation and the airspace, ISRO is fighting tirelessly to ensure Indian Defence forces are successfully controlling the incoming threats, making it safe for the civilians, and encouraging safety.

ISRO Chief V Narayan claimed that without the satellites and the drones, it would have become extremely challenging to guard the space of India. During the 5th Convocation Ceremony of the Agricultural University, Imphal, the ISRO chief claimed that "You all know about our neighbours. If we have to ensure the safety of our country, we have to serve through our satellites. We have to monitor our 7,000 km seashore areas. We have to monitor the entire Northern part continuously. Without satellite and drone technology, we can’t achieve that."

Amid the escalating issues between the two nations, the chief of ISRO has claimed that "At least 10 satellites are continuously working round-the-clock for the strategic purpose to ensure the safety and security of the citizens of the country.” India and Pakistan were on the verge of beginning a full-scale war after the Pahalgam terror attack. It terror area post which Islamabad launched missiles on India. However, the satellites worked amazingly, for which the majority of the missiles were intercepted

Narayan also suggested that the contribution of Satellites has shaped many industries and markets such as Agriculture, telemedicine, food security, broadcasting, and environment monitoring, which were previously challenged because of the minimal infrastructure available.

While speaking about the Chandrayan Mission, the Chief claims, “The Chandrayaan-1 mission discovered evidence of water molecules on the Moon’s surface. India was the first country to achieve this. At least 433 satellites for 34 countries have been launched from India and placed into orbit.” While Chandrayan 2 is currently the most successful space mission to date for India, Narayan also uplifted the role of Satellites in the defence front

He highlighted how every incoming missile was intercepted by the Satellites, which then initiated signals to the S400, which single-handedly took care of the threats. Both countries have stopped their war and come to a ceasefire agreement. However, India has to ensure the safety and security of the nation, and for that, Indian Satellites will be extremely necessary. Many northwestern states are the hub for the Project of ISRO, and many projects are in progress, which will be used to advance the security and overall development of the nation.
