Kartik Aaryan Contributes ₹1 Crore to Assam Flood Relief Efforts

Bollywood actor Kartik Aaryan has extended financial support to Assam's flood relief initiatives by donating ₹1 crore to the Assam Chief Minister's Relief Fund. The contribution comes as the northeastern state continues to deal with widespread flooding caused by persistent monsoon rains.

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma acknowledged the actor's generous gesture and expressed gratitude for the timely assistance. In a message shared on social media, the Chief Minister said the donation would significantly strengthen ongoing relief and rehabilitation work for people affected by the floods.

The state has witnessed severe flooding in several districts following continuous heavy rainfall, leaving thousands of residents impacted. Rescue operations, relief distribution, and rehabilitation efforts remain underway as authorities work to assist affected communities.

Weather officials have also warned that heavy to very heavy rainfall is likely to continue in parts of Assam and neighbouring northeastern states over the next few days. The forecast includes thunderstorms and intense rainfall in isolated areas, raising concerns about further flooding.

The Assam State Disaster Management Authority (ASDMA) has urged residents to remain alert, monitor official weather updates, and follow instructions issued by local authorities. Alerts have also been issued for vulnerable districts where rising water levels and adverse weather conditions could pose additional risks.

Kartik Aaryan's donation adds to the growing support from public figures and organizations contributing to relief efforts aimed at helping flood-affected families recover from the ongoing crisis.
