Malayalam Actor Mohanlal Hospitalised Due to Respiratory Issues, His Condition is Said to Be Stable

Malayalam actor Mohanlal was rushed to the hospital after complaining of breathing issues, fever and generalised muscle pain.

The actor was admitted to Amrita hospital on August 16.

According to the official medical certificate, the actor is suspected to have viral respiratory infection.

“This is to certify that I have examined Mr. Mohanlal, 64 years old male, MRD No. 1198168, he is having complaints of High grade fever, Breathing difficulty and generalised myalgia. He is suspected to have viral respiratory infection. He has been advised to take medications with 5 days rest and to avoid crowded places”, the certificate reads.

This news comes in after the actor just finished the shoot of L2: Empuraan in Gujarat.

On a good note, the ‘Hridayam’ actor is recovering, and his condition is said to be stable.

The news of his health, understandably, caused concern among his large fan following.

The actor is getting ready for the release of his next movie, 3D Fantasy Drama ‘Barroz’, on October 3 which is also his directorial debut.

The actor too confirmed the release date to his followers. He said, “Barroz is coming to reveal his secrets on 3rd October 2024. Mark your calendars for a magical adventure.”

The actor who is also a Lieutenant Colonel in the Indian Territorial Army recently went to landslide-affected Wayand and pledged Rs. 3 crores for the rehabilitation of the affected area.

“The devastation in Wayanad is a deep wound that will take time to heal. Every home lost and life disrupted is a personal tragedy,” the actor wrote on X.
