Marvel Fans Have Something to Look forward to with the Release of Black Widow Trailer

The Trailer

The trailer shows Romanoff confronting Pugh who apparently is like her sister. She will also meet the Older Black Widow being portrayed by Rachel Weiz. This trailer affirms the fact that Marvel is still going strong even though the main storyline came to an end after the Avenger’s Endgame. The events of Black Widow take place between the events of Captain America: Civil War and Avengers: Infinity War.

In the month of August, a trailer of the Black Widow was shown at Disney’s biennial D23 fan convention. The time duration of the trailer was longer than the one released to the public. In this trailer, Romanoff is shown going back to Budapest where she meets Belova Yelena. There is an intriguing scene between the two and Yelena is referred to as Romanoff’s sister.

In the comic series, Yelena becomes the second Black Widow.

The teaser shows Romanoff in action as she breaks into an apartment and has a knife fight with the Pugh. The teaser also gives us a peek at the Villain called Taskmaster. We also get to see our favorites Nick Fury and Hawkeye.

This movie is the beginning of the phase-four of Marvel Cinematic movies. In this movie, we will get to understand the Black Widow a lot better. In the earlier movies, we have only seen glimpses of her earlier life. Though we cannot make much of it. In this stand-alone movie, we will get the opportunity to know her better.

In the trailer, Romanoff is heard saying, “I’ve lived a lot of lives, but I’m done running from my past.” So the past will help us to see Black Widow in a different light.

Stand-alone movie-The Black Widow

Even though Romanoff has been a part of most of the Marvel movies, she did not get a stand-alone movie like Captain Marvel who came in later. We had the pleasure of having Robert Downey Junior going solo in the Ironman series followed by Captain America and Thor. However, we did not have any Romanoff movies. Now fans are elated that finally, they will be getting to see their favorite female Avenger back on screen after she sacrificed herself for the Soul stone.

Talks about a Black Widow standalone movie were heard way back in 2010. It was when Black Widow first made her appearance as Pepper Pott’s assistant in Iron Man 2. From an assistant, she turns into a lethal Shield Spy and is seen in The Avengers. However, it was only in 2018, a stand-alone Black Widow was announced.

The movie is set to release in May 2020 which will be followed by The Eternals In November 2020. So Romanoff fans better get ready for a lethal year, 2020.
