Rafale, Mirage, Sukhois, All That Was Used to Retaliate against Pakistan
IAF’s Sukhoi, Mirage 200, and Rafale contributed a lot to the terror strikes in PoK. All are multi-role aircraft with advanced capabilities, which led to the successful execution of the operation
Operation Sindoor is till now one of the most precise attacks made over Pakistan after the 2019 Balakot attacks. The attacks were a response to the Pahalgam attack, which led to damage and the destruction of 9 terror camps. The prime target of he terror base of Lashkar-e-Taiba and the mission was entirely executed by the IAF and Aerial forces, which worked with precision.
The commendable role of the IAF and its fighter jets has enhanced the national safety and security. The IAF deployed the three most advanced fighter jets, namely the Sukhoi, Rafale, and Mirage. The capabilities of the fighter jets have allowed them to maintain a strong domination over the POK airspace. The fighter jets, without crossing the Line of Control, had initiated attacks leading to mass-scale destruction. The same technique was used by the IAF in Operation Bandar in 2019.
Rafale is one of the advanced warheads with SCALP Cruise Missiles, which can target targets in deep Pakistan. Rafale is a 4.5 Generation multi-role aircraft with the ability to control Nuclear missiles. Developed in France, Dassault Rafale can engage targets in air, ground, and at sea with utmost precision. The air dominance of the aircraft makes it stand out from many other aircraft. Advanced Avionics and SCALP missiles make Rafale one of a kind. The aircraft can travel at a speed of 860 miles per hour at a lower altitude.
Mirage 2000 is next on the list, which also took part in the attacks of 7th May. Mirage has a proven track record in the 2019 Balakot attacks, where the same aircraft were used. Dassault Mirage is a 4th-generation, multi-role aircraft that was developed in the year 1970. Specifically designed for Air to Air-to-Air and Air-to-Ground missions, the aircraft has earned a reputation of being a lethal aircraft. With fly-by-wire and exceptional high altitude performance further make it an aircraft worth paying for.
India was the first customer for whom the Rafales were exported in the year 1982 to defeat the F-16s owned by the Pakistan Air Force. India ordered around 50 Mirage 2000 and named the squadron with “Tigers” and “Battle Axes”.
Rafale and Mirage have executed the attacks however, the Sukhoi was constantly present for Combat Air Patrol, which helped the executing airplanes to obtain support when in need. The twin-seater, long-range, multi-role aircraft protected the country from aerial threats and air challenges. The aircraft can carry spicebombs and consists of advanced radar systems.
Operation Sindoor was highly successful because of the protective measures and strategic use of these aircraft. The manufacturing of these aircraft is currently done by Hindustan Aeronautics Limited under the agreement of Technology transfer and is constantly iterated by engineers for even more precise targets and aims.
