Sarah Jessica Parker Endorses Friend And Co-Star Cynthia Nixon In Bid For New York Governor

Last Thursday, Sarah Jessica Parker endorsed Cynthia Nixon in bid for New York Governor. Parker posted her endorsement of her colleague on her official Instagram account.

Sarah Jesssica Parker posted the following lines for her friend and colleague- Cynthia Nixon.

A mother. An activist. An advocate. A fighter. A NY'er. A dear friend. Running for Governor of our great state. My sister on and off screen, you have my love, support and vote." Parker had earlier released a statement to New York Post’s Page Six stating “Cynthia has been my friend and colleague since we were little girls. I look forward to talking to her about her New York state gubernatorial bid." This statement was a bit vague and stopped short of endorsing her colleague and friend. Now however, Parker has given a thumbs up to Cynthia Nixon and there were other actors who had posted good things about their colleague prior to this.

‘Sex and the City’ team support Nixon

Former co-star Kristin Davis tweeted “I am so proud of @CynthiaNixon, no one cares more than she does about EVERY person getting a fair change and a good education. I know that she would be an excellent Governor!” Later that day, Kristin posted another tweet supporting her co-star “I'm excited to support someone I have known for 20 years to be one of the most intelligent and caring people in my life!”

Patricia Field who is the costume designer for ‘Sex and the City’ told page 6 that Cynthia Nixon “is an original.” She added “She never went for the fame. She's a New York City mom, very practical and down-to-earth. She doesn't buy anything you have to dry-clean."

Yet another former co-star- Kim Cattrall who is in not-so-good terms with Parker, posted her comments on Twitter, following Nixon’s announcement of her candidacy “I support & respect any former colleague’s right to make their own career choices.Cattrall’s endorsement was not one of the best and neither impactful.

Nixon who will be challenging New York Governor- Andrew Cuomo was grateful for the support she received from her friends and former co-stars. "We worked on an incredible series for many years together, and my colleagues' ongoing support for my years of activism, and now my campaign, means a lot to me”, said the actress.
