Techie Claims of an Unlivable Life in India After He Moved to the US
Man lived in US once, relocates to India to find out unlivable conditions. The shared ordeal of the Reddit post takes the audience by storm and gains support.
India is highly criticized because of certain conditions that seem quite unbearable for the people. Social and economic factors of India have pushed a lot of people abroad and to other foreign countries, as their quest for a better life kept them away from the atrocities of the country. An NRI who moved to the US for his studies and settled there complains of how unlivable India has become over the past few years.
The techie who has worked in many Fortune 500 companies has claimed that his life was challenging after he lost his job in 2024. The techie in his Reddit post claimed that he had to return to India after his company fired close to 300 people. Moreover, his visa was also about to expire, for which he was left with no choice but to visit his native.
He claimed, “I moved back to India in January 2024 and was excited to live in India after a decade, but it’s been a year now, and I still haven’t been able to adjust.” He complains that he has moved to many different cities and including Hyderabad, Bangalore, and Delhi, and the only thing he found out was a broken system. Travelling across the cities was quite cumbersome as he had to face many different challenges, including transportation and living conditions
He also complained about people's rash driving and increasing pollution levels, which can be harmful to the human body. After his post on Reddit went viral, a user who stayed in India for more than 15 years claimed that “The things you listed are a daily pain in the behind, and I hope they change. Until then, keep fighting.”
Another user followed the same strain and asked him to move to countries like Canada, Dubai, and Singapore. “It’s unlikely these issues in India will get fixed soon. If you can, move somewhere better.” Others shared their ordeal of how India has challenged their presence and living conditions. Some users also pointed out the taxation system of India, where they have to pay a large amount of taxes to the government, and still, there are no justified services from the country.
A user also shared that they had moved to Europe despite being paid less, and the only reason they moved out was the poor living conditions. “The money may be lower, but I’d rather breathe cleaner air and live more peacefully,” read the comment of the man. There are numerous reasons behind citizens leaving India. While some have criticized it, others are in total support.
