Two Trains Collided in UP, And No Casualties Were Reported

Two good trains collided with each other in UP’s Fatehpur and derailed. The collision led to an absolute disruption in the railway network in the region. The accident reported no casualties and all the crew in the trains were safe. The collision occurred at 4:30 PM between Shujaatpur and Rusalabad Railways stations. 

It is believed that the accident mainly happened because of one driver overlooking the red signal, which resulted in the derailment of both trains. Drivers of trains are instructed to ensure proper signal procedures that will ensure safer traffic. According to the sources,  the first train had come to a halt after receiving a red signal. However, the train behind skipped the signal and rear-ended the train ahead leading to derailment. 

The railway team reached the spot quickly and started doing an investigation on the matter. Moreover, they were equally fast in clearing the tracks so that the network could be made active without any issues. The accident caused delay and suspension of many trains in the vicinity while some were halted in a deserted place. 

The Motormen were sent to the hospital for an immediate checkup and prioritized the health of the crew. A team of police was sent from Khaga police station that clear the wreckage bring normal conditions in the area and allow the movement of trains. The railway line connects major cities and states which bringing normalcy to the region would be important. Railway employees are working constantly to ensure a quick resolution. 

Videos have surfaced on various social media channels where users have pinned their comments regarding the safety of Indian Railways. Moreover, the number of railway personnel is also less in number as assumed by the users. Some users claim that irresponsible loco pilots are further challenging the railway network and are risking the country’s assets. 

The detailed investigation report has not yet arrived for which the authorities are not commenting on the issue. Over the past 2 years, the number of train accidents has increased which is creating outrage among travelers. A few days back 13 people lost their lives in Jalgaon after people jumped off the train after a rumoured fire in the compartment. The Kanchanjenga Train accident was also one of the severely affecting accidents that was a glitch of the authorities and the personnel. 

The Fatehpur train accident that happened today is a debate of criticism to modern-day safety and uplifted railway infrastructure, which is equally impacting the environment and is also challenging the overall transportation system.
